My name is Tai, I’m 16 years old. I came to the United States 4 years ago from Russia. My first experience with horses was when I was 7 years old. I started taking horseback riding lessons in Russia. Then when I moved here, I couldn’t find any affordable and suitable place where I could spend time with horses and continue to grow as a rider.

My middle school helped me find an amazing nonprofit program called Taking the reins. Currently I’m on the show team. Me and my teammates represent taking the reins in the show ring. My trainer is Liz haven. I have competed at fun shows and two ETI shows. I’m looking forward to a great future in the show ring with Arabian horses. 

Currently I’m a junior in high school. I’m planning on going to Cal poly Pomona after high school. 

Outside of riding horses I enjoy going on hikes with my family, baking, going out with my friends.
